Dear Gent,
I had a telephone conversation
with Mr. Thorne yesterday when I told him
about a letter which we had received from
the Wharf Engineer, Holt's Wharf, Kowloon,
who is a Chinese.
I gave him such
information as concerned his particular
Department, but he suggested that you
might be interested to see the whole letter
as it might help your Engineers' Department
to build up the Hong Kong picture.
I now enclose a copy.
